Fourth Weekend Already?

I didn't have the pleasure off having Friday off since I had Monday off, but that didn't matter since Friday was overcast. I know my roommates had asked me to go to the beach that day and I told them couldn't, but it was all ok since the weather didn't cooperate that day anyways. On Friday evening, I hit the pool (I upped myself to 50 pool lengths, yay!), and had a blast watching American Idol with my roomies and Missy. It's the preliminary stages, so we were laughing at the terrible singers. :)

On Saturday, I slept in a little since it was cloudy until about eleven. I didn't Skype, but instead went on a quest for my Mum's 50th birthday present. I wanted to ask Louie if he wanted to go to the Australian Museum, but he wasn't in his room. I met him at the bus stop, no joke. We visited Luna Park, which is this creepy, old-timey amusement park place. How can it be creepy? Look at my Facebook pictures and find out. I(f you can't see my pictures, friend request me!). After that, we did go to the Australian Museum where I could get my much needed science nerdiness on. After the museum, Louie and I went our separate ways so that I could go to the Queen Victoria Building. I came up short in regards to a present for my Mum, but did manage to find a cast iron teapot for my boyfriend, which I know he has been eying for awhile.

I rushed home to change so that I could change and meet up with my roommates. We went out to a nice pizza place for Hillary's 21st birthday and treated her to dinner. Upon coming home, I swam and showered. The girls and I had champagne for Hillary and talked for hours. Even Louie came over to celebrate.

Sunday was a busy day. I wished my mother a very happy birthday (Happy birthday!!!). I first went to the open market on the Rocks (pun intended!), where I thought I would come up short. I did manage to find a pair of pearl earrings that match the necklace I always wear. I was a bit bummed that I didn't find what I was looking for, but right as I was leaving, I tried one last shop that I overlooked before. And there I found my mother a beautiful, green opal ring in a silver setting. It will look so pretty on her. I also bought myself a matching one with a bluish opal. From there, I went to the beach for a few hours because it was warm out! I went home and swam and worked on homework. Right now it's a bit late, and there's some 70's Robert Redford movie on while I type this. He's always been quite handsome... The Sting... Butch Cassidy... All the King's Men. Yup, he's definitely a cutie with his blonde hair. In any case, this week will be busy with work and Melbourne! Until next time, bye!!!
