Well, not much has happened since the cricket game, but it has been absolutely beautiful and warm and sunny here. Yesterday (Friday for me) I took a ferry to Manly Beach with a few people, but I only went to Manly because we were in Circular Quay (pronounced “key”). Why was I there? Because I was touring the Sydney Opera House! My friends and I went to the Opera House and visted many of the theatres there. I'm planning on seeing either a ballet or opera, but I haven't decided which yet. After the ferry to Manly I found a cute shop and bought a dress and shirt for only $14.
On Saturday, after some internet, I went with Louie to the art museum in Circular Quay. It was a beautiful building, and then we visited the pretty botanical gardens. I was tired from the night before (I'll admit to drinking a bit too much), so the night was low-key and spent reading.
This Sunday I'm skyping, but I also arranged my trip to Melbourne to see some family friends and have a blast there. I'm also getting the details for my Cairns trip in order. For the rest of today I am SHOPPING!!! I'm going to the malls just down Pitt street, and I'm on the prowl for opals. For real. And clothes. And souvenirs. Tomorrow I have off, and since it will be 96 degrees, I am going to the beach. All in all, that's my last few days. I love you all!
